Recently gracing the pages of Vogue Living, Aerin Lauder, has been a woman I’ve loved to watch these past few years. The global lifestyle brand, AERIN is classic and elegant with a modern twist just like its founder, who’s grandmother is of course, Estée Lauder – a true pioneer.
Lauder has a classic, signature personal style that she brings into her stores. Her showroom in NYC emulates apartment style living, where Lauder’s own personal collection of artwork is displayed – she’ll have her own sons’ drawings from when they were younger mixed in with the other original art, which is really sweet; it’s a great way for artists to get known because she always tags and mentions each of the artists she rotates from her private collection. She brings in her own lighting and fabrics she has in her own home, collaborating with partners she loves – Lee Jofa, Visual Comfort & Co. and EJ Victor. The showroom brings together all the product lines that make up Lauder’s life-style brand. Lauder told Architectural Digest, “This showroom unites the vision of the brand, even though we have different partners for each line, the lifestyle comes through clearly.”
AERIN has a beautiful line of accessories from different leathers including my favorite, Classic Shagreen, in different colors – pinks, greys, blues and ivories, with a brass finish, so it’s a great accessory for the bookshelf or vanity, and my go-to investment pieces for family photos for clients; they really elevate the bookshelf and hold a beautiful memory in a photograph.
Aerin’s homes in New York, The Hamptons and Aspen each have distinct styles that have all influenced her fashion, beauty and home décor brand.
I love her straw bags with a heart on them. Casual and easy to use and not a high price point and her gold brush is perfect for travel – and so shiny and pretty.
